He became the first African-American president which represents diversity in American history. He was liked because of one of his main goals, to improve the failing auto industry and create more jobs which was majorly needed in America at that time. Barack also began several rigorous reforms to the social infrastructure of the U.S. The most prominent of these was the trillion dollar health reforms. Obama was so well liked he ended up getting re-elected.
