Johnny Depp has had tough luck at the box office lately, but the about-to-be-married star’s getting good buzz for his newest book project.Depp’s republishing tattoo artist Jonathan Shaw’s cult novel, “Narcisa: Our Lady of Ashes,” through his HarperCollins imprint Infinitum Nihil in March.
Shaw’s tome follows a “motorcycle-riding, nomadic outlaw poet” and “crack-smoking philosopher prostitute” in Rio, and was first published in 2008.
It gained cult fans including Iggy Pop and Jim Jarmusch before going out of print and commanding about $200 a copy as a collector’s item.
Depp’s imprint previously put out Woody Guthrie’s “House of Earth” and Bob Gruen’s “See Hear Yoko.”
