Description:

At the end of the 2nd World War, Germany was split into two including its capital. The one side was communist backed by the Soviet Union and the other was backed by the United States. At one point, the communist-backed East Germany created a wall to prevent people in the country from defecting to West Germany. The wall seperated the two Germanys for decades, but it eventually fell as the Soviets withdrew their presence in Europe and the people tore it down. The two were later reunified.
