Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will finally tie the knot in a week at his private island in the Bahamas, Page Six has exclusively learned.
Our sources tell us the “Mortdecai” star, 51, and his fiancée, 28, will marry in an intimate ceremony at his Little Hall’s Pond Cay island home. We’re told the guest list will include just 50 people, including Heard’s family and Depp’s children with former love Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose, 15, and Jack, 12.
We’re told accommodations are so sparse that guests are staying on a yacht during the festivities. Depp has a 156-foot vessel called Vajoliroja, which he reportedly keeps parked at his tropical island compound.
Sources tell us Heard and Depp chose the Feb. 7-8 weekend after working around their various schedules. “She’s filming a movie in London, and he’s getting ready to film the next ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ in Australia,” a source told us. “So this is the only time that everyone could get together.”
Heard will wear a gown by Stella McCartney for the ceremony, our source said.
The couple met while making the 2011 movie “The Rum Diary” and were engaged in December 2013 after a year of dating.
Last March, Heard and Depp threw a medieval-style engagement party at Carondelet House in downtown LA, attended by Steven Tyler, Mandy Moore, Jerry Bruckheimer, Marilyn Manson and Depp’s mother, Betty Sue Palmer.
Depp bought the 45-acre lot of islands in Little Hall’s Pond Cay for $3.6 million after shooting “Pirates of the Caribbean” in 2004. The island has six beaches, which are named after Depp’s children, Paradis, and his close friends Hunter S. Thompson and Marlon Brando. The hideaway is only reachable by seaplane or boat. Depp told Vanity Fair in 2009 of the locale: “I don’t think I’d ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It’s instant freedom.”
