Johnny Depp returned to the Gold Coast Hospital the following day where he met with the Specialist Hand Surgeon. It appears that this meeting confined that Johnny would require surgery that was more extensive than envisaged.Following this appointment and discussions with Dr Kipper Johnny Depp made the decision to have the surgery in the US and return there as quickly as possible.
Disney mobilised and called in the medical insurance cover for Pirates of the Caribbean 5.
