apr 26, 1779 - Great March begins
Description:
The Great March begins. Anti-British colonists leave the colonies en-masse in response to the passage of the Galloway Plan. More than 5,000 settlers move to the West, despite the best attempts of the Native tribes and British authorities. Over the ensuing years, the Anglo-American minority becomes a major factor in Imperial Mexico and the Western Territories.
