“Six four” or the Tiananmen square massacre was a student led protest that went deadly as the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) got involved against the protesters. The protests were about the death of General Secretary Hu Yaobang who sought a better and more democratic China. There were 300,000+ troops that were mobilized and sent to China’s capital, Beijing to stomp out the protest. The PLA fired onto many of the protesters and demonstrators a part of the movement.
