oct 19, 1781 - Surrender of General Cornwalls at Yorktown

Description:

This is an important event because this is when the British lost and entire army. Back then, casualties were very bad and rare as the guns aren’t strong enough. This proved that the Americans were determined and strong enough that they can take out an entire army of the British empire and taking strongholds from there. New York was the last British stronghold in America and it was surrendered and abandoned to the Americans.
