This was a Political act but also a religious one aswell as William laud in 1633 would get promoted to the position of Archbishop of Canterbury which was the highest living position that a human could get to within the Church of England. This would become very important with the impact William laud have on religious upon this times of 1630’s as he would change everything with changing the English and Scottish religion to be following laudianism
