jun 30, 1643 - The Adwalton Battle
Description:
the Adwaloton was shown to be a strong victory for the Royalist forces, led by Prince Rupert of the Rhine, over the Parliamentarian forces, led by Sir Thomas Fairfax. The battle took place in the county of Yorkshire, England, and was a significant victory for the Royalists, who were able to push the Parliamentarians out of Yorkshire and secure control of the county. The battle was notable for the use of dragoon cavalry by the Royalists, which proved to be a successful tactic and helped them secure their victory. However, the Parliamentarians were able to regroup and eventually regain control of Yorkshire later in the war. and it was more common to see that at the start of the English civil war the Cavaliers would normally be the ones to get the Victory in the early battles
