Description:
The idea of caloric restriction was that if a person only ate what was required to avoid malnutrition, then they could live longer. This idea was researched further by Dr. Clive McCay, a biochemist, and nutritionist, and the results of his experiments showed an increase in the lifespan of lab rats by 40%. Nowadays, research has shown a similar effect take place in single-celled organisms, to primates and even man.
