jun 22, 1774 - Quebec Act (1774)

Description:

Expanded the territory of the Province of Quebec and guaranteed freedom of religion for Catholics. This angered the Thirteen Colonies for two reasons: 1.) denied territory to the New England colonies, and 2.) Protestant colonial prejudice against Catholics had many believe Parliament established Catholicism as the religion of the Quebec Province.
