I agree with John Morrill's point because people were punished if they didn't go to church so there is some sort of risk of you do not attend church as you could be fined or imprisoned for this act I strongly believe that this point is true over though religion was at its peak at this sort of time I still believe that not the hole population wanted to go and where happy about sending 3 hours or more at a puritan church doing the dame action every week
