the was all casue with people not paying the much needed forced loan towards Charles to rise money from an invitation on spain Charles felt personal hert when people did not pay this and he would improsoin them without reasoning
within the month of November 76 rich merchant class were impsion for not paying te new tax brought to thuoghs that had the money to pay it.
but 5 knight knew that charles couldn't just imprison someone without a fair trials and what charles was doing with the forced loan was not 100% illegal so 5 knight stold up to this and Charles brought them to count upon it and as it went on the king had shown no real illegal good reasoning for imprisoning these 5 knights and as the court went on Charles knew he would lose so he called it off before
this struck a nerve within Charles as It just showed the amount of disloayity towards the king at this time especially showing that they were knights of the kings and it also show how real little power Charles had.
