Description:
In 1959, Fidel Castro removed previous dictator Fulgencio Batista from power. As soon as he did this, he started taking over American businesses that were stationed there and then began to trade with the Soviet Union. As a response from the U.S., they cut off all trade with Cuba. The U.S. still does not trade with Cuba as of today.
