The Transcontinental railroad was finally combined from central pacific to the Union Pacific May 10, 1869. Stretching 3,500 miles across the US and taking over 6 years was finally finished. With enlisted help from the Chinese and Irish the railroad stretched from the East to the West of the United States and would later go to be one of the greatest American technological feats of the 19th century.Added to timeline:
