Description:

This began with the stamp act of 1765. Then when the British tried to fight back with the tea act, the colonist refused in an act known as the Boston tea party. The British closed the Boston harbor because of this and they expanded the power of the royal government. Following this the first ever continental congress was called. And in the following April the fighting began. And during the second continental congress the declaration of independence was formed.
