Description:

My first placement was at Shekou International School in Shenzhen, China. Up to this point in my life, I was very focused on poverty but this was one of my first experiences with the ultra-privileged. These students are gifted and have a bright future ahead of them but also they have infinite resources provided for them. It was hard to see how some students have so much even during COVID while others struggle so much.
