The diggers were a new and upcoming religious of the time of 1647-1648 in its creation by gerrard winstanley the diggers religious didnt really come into play after the king death in January 1649 the digger were different from the levellers although they were both sprung from the same reason of social effect from the civil war.
The diggers believed in political and social equality between all. “ he shall not pay rent to any landlord” “every freeman shall have freedom”
Overall the digger were not very successful as they had small number to start with and they only last a year with being shut down by Fairfax and his strop repressing them
All in all the digger wanted to have the true own ship of they own land they didnt want to pay the government or the crown to have part ownership to have it. They also wanted eequlity in economics but they were not successful as they were to smal and uncommon
