this was a military alliance between the English parliament and the Scottish covenanters whilst the time their alliance formed in 1643 the start of the civil war it isolated Scottish nobles and their power to their army's
this effect the Scottish nobles so much within this alliances lifetime as it made some of them to move loyalty towards Charles and the royalist army.
