Description:
By 186 BC, Lusitanians had already crossed the Guadalquivir and taken the city of Hasta and forced its inhabitants to declare that the Romans were hostile. In 186 though, the Roman praetor C. Atinius drove them out of Hasta. Fortunately or Unfortunately, he was wounded by an enemy missile and later died due to is wound. The Senate quickly decided to elect C. Calpurnius as a new praetor.
