jun 1, 1767 - Townshend Acts enacted

Description:

The Townshend Acts were taxes placed on luxury goods, such as glass, lead, paper, paint, and tea. There was mass boycotting across the colonies. Women in a group called "Daughters of Liberty" formed, supporting the boycotts. Samuel Adams wrote letters saying the law violated the rights of colonists.
