Description:

Egypt was requesting Arms from the U.S. The U.S. refused, so the Egyptians went to the Soviet Union. The U.S. and the British cut off all loans to Egypt, and as a result Nasser nationalized the British-owned Suez Canal. The British and the French would then attack Egypt. The Soviets threatened to join on the side of Egypt. The Americans got the British and the French to pull out.
