Sibley tried to negotiate with Little Crow, but Little Crow does not want to. Little Crow wants to continue to fight and he explains why.
Later that month, Henry Sibley and a group of men camp out and Wood lake of Lone Tree Lake on their way up the mississippi river in search to defeat the Dakota. While out looking for food U.S. soldiers come upon a group of Dakota waiting to ambush them. This lead to the Battle of Wood Lake, last major battle between the U. S. and Dakota, which the Dakota lost.
