Description:

The Emancipation Proclamation issued that all slaves in the Confederate States of America would be freed. The reason for this is so that the South no longer had any slaves, and so that those slaves that were freed from the Confederate States, would join the Union and help with the War. The North would view this as a positive, and the South viewed this as a negative. The slaves were helping the Northern cause. This event is a step to the success of the Reconstruction of the South.
