Description:

The Suez Crisis rose when Egypt decided to annex the Suez Canal. This happened when the United States refused to sell weapons to Egypt. The U.S and Britain called off all loans to them which made Egypt's leader nationalize the canal. Britain and France attacked Egypt which caused the Soviet Union to state that they would help the Egyptians. The U.S pulled Britain and France out of Egypt. The U.S pulled them out to not start another huge war.
