Description:

After the Temple construction was restarted after Yahweh used Haggai to reinvigorate Zerubbabel, the building continued apace quite quickly and, of course, was challenged by the local antagonists Tatnai and Shetharboznai (Ezra 5/3).

They wrote to the new Persian King and tried to stop the building by casting doubt over the claims of Zerubbabel and Jeshua that a royal decree by Cyrus the Mede had given them permission.

A search was made by Darius (6/1) and the Jews claim was substantiated.
Not only dis Darius uphold the Decree of Cyrus and dismissed the false claims, but he also instructed Tatnai the govenor to provide all the Jews needs to complete the work. (6/6-12)
