Description:

The Mississippi River Flooded in 1927 causing mass destruction as well as a breakthrough in music. Artists along the Mississippi Delta were inspired by the events and the famous Charlie Patton's song 'High Water Everywhere' was written about the flood. The flood inspired new genres of music as well as a variety of experimentation. Many incredible artists came from the Mississippi Delta during this time.
