Description:
This act was put in place to prevent British workers from forming trade unions and collective bargaining. Those who broke this would be charged with a misdemeanor. Labor organizations were drawn underground. in 1825, the Combinations of Workmen Act 1825 was passed that allowed trade unions, but limited what they could do.
