Description:
In the year 1338, The city of Florence had 110,000 to 120,000 inhabitants. At 1351, the city had only about 50,000 citizens left. It is estimated that most of Italy's cities at the time suffered the same fate.
(Florence's city population was only 60% of what it was observed as before the plague.)
