Description:
Airships are able to lift off the ground thanks to the large balloon that's filled with lighter-than-air-gas attached to a car or gondola that holds the passengers underneath and a propeller to move the vehicle forward and a steering mechanism to control the direction.
The first airship was built in 1853 by Henri Giffard, the engine was capable of about 3 horsepower and could go about 30 km
