The Treaty declared that the Austro-Hungarian Empire was to be officially dissolved amongst other provisions such as the acceptance of responsibility for starting the war along with territorial concessions of 60% to other nations. Austria were also not allowed to enter any political or economic unions without the agreement of the League of Nations which was stipulated in Article 88. Finally, the Austrian army was restricted to 30,000 volunteers and conscription was abolished. Reparations were also agreed on but Austria went bankrupt before the amount was decided.
