Description:

The Stamp act was the first tax that was put on the colonists. The act put tax on all paper documents in the colonies. Britain was taxing them due to their debt from the Seven Years war. Britain was looking at the colonies as a source of revenue and they would get into great trouble for this. The revenue was used for british soldiers in the colonies.
