Description:

These laws were passed in 1651. These laws stated that all imports and exports can only use english ship's. The reason they started these laws were because of mercantilism. Mercantilism is a theory that looked to increase power and get more money. The colonists response to this was mad they found a new way to get stuff in. This idea was called smuggling.
