nov 11, 1811 - Battle of Tippecanoe

Description:

Tecumseh and his brother nicknamed the Prophet were two Native Americans who were not in favor of the way Americans were taking land from them. They had been vocal about they're opposition and were raising a confederacy of other Native American Tribes to defend their land. After an American camp was set up near their town as an intimidation tactic the Native Americans attacked, after being defeated they headed to Canada. Some believed that Native American raids like this were instigated by the British, in this case the fact that the brothers fled to the British controlled Canada was evidence of their alliance with the Country.
