Description:
In 1783, Pilatre De Rozier created the first hot air balloon, it's passengers were only animals. It flew for a grand total 15 minutes before crashing.Later in the year, Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier flew the first manned hot air balloon, it flew for 20 minutes and marked the start of modern hot air balloons.
They used fabric that was lifted from the burning of wool and damp straw.
