jan 3, 1773 - The Tea Act
Description:
It was an act from the british parliament that aimed to reduce the financial debts of Britain and The British East India Company by providing the company with a tea monopoly in the British American colonies. It increased the tensions between the colonists and the British because the colonists did not like another act passed to limit them to a certain thing that was being taxed. This made the colonists get together and put together a plan which was the Boston Tea Party.
