It was a riot that turned into the Boston Massacre because the colonists were throwing stuff and insulting the redcoats and a gun went off suddenly then all the redcoats shot and killed 4 people instantly and injured 12 people. It increased the tensions between the colonists and the British because the colonists were outraged by the redcoats killing those people. This led to more distrust especially between the colonists and the British soldiers.Added to timeline:
