Description:

It was an act from the British Parliament that announced Parliament's authority to pass any law “To bind the colonies and peoples of North America” closer to Britain. It increased the tensions between the colonists and the British because it gave parliament the ability to bind the colonies and its people to Great britain. The colonists were also mad that the British were trying to exert control over them.
