Anne Hutchinson was prosecuted for sharing her beliefs. The Puritans saw her as defiant because she was sharing beliefs that were different and so they put her on trial, and banished her from Massachusetts. She was prosecuted for sharing her beliefs because she was a woman and in the theocracy a woman talking about her beliefs was not accepted.
