Description:
After General Burgoyne's recapture of fort Ticonderoga, on the way to Albany, he stayed there long enough for the Americans to regroup and take down troops in Vermont wounding/capturing more than 1,000 Brits. Then in Saratoga, the Americans surrounded Burgoyne and his men leading to their surrender. This was major for the Americans as it heightened their spirits and convinced France to become an ally of the US.Added to timeline:
