Sequence of Events:
1. George Washington told Wayne to send his soldiers in with unloaded muskets, utilizing bayonets as their weapon. Not using guns would make it much harder to be detected by British forces while they stormed their camps
2. The weather helped American forces, when clouds covered the moonlight
3. The Americans began to launch a surprise attack on the British, made stealthier by the relative silence
4. The Americans outnumbered the British forces 2 to 1, though about 624 British and around 98 Americans were killed, mostly from stab wounds
5. The battle ended in an American victory, securing near 12 miles of land near the Hudson River
