Description:
The American army led by General George Washington, while the British army was led by General Sir William Howe. British armies were trying to capture Philadelphia, and to try and prevent this, George Washington set up his troops around the Brandywine river. However, the British troops, who were hidden by the fog, attacked. General Wilhelm von Kynphausen led some troops to Chadds Fort while the rest crossed the river upstream. Other American forces were led by Generals John Sullivan and William Alexander. It ended in American loss and British capture of Philidelphia.
