oct 25, 1760 - KING GEORGE III
OF ENGLAND
BEGINS HIS REIGN
Description:
"Born and educated in this country, I glory in the name of Britain" was said by England’s longest-ruling monarch before Queen Victoria, King George III. His reign was shaped by the Seven Years' War, although he was first very welcomed to the throne, the first years of his reign were marked by political insecurity, largely generated as a result of disagreements over the seven years war. He was broadly known for two things: losing the American colonies and going mad.
