Description:

While Rean Toval & Elise are descending the wilderness to Ymir village, it is on fire and Northern Jaegers demand Lady Schwarzer step aside so they can take Alfin. Baron Schwarzer appears, sword in hand, and fends off the Jaegers for a brief period before they take the young villager Alf at gunpoint. With Lord Schwarzer's guard lowered, one of the Jaegers shoots him in the back.

Toval, Rean & Elise arrive in the flaming village to find the Schwarzer lady appearently unconscious on her stomach, and Lord Schwarzer unconscious and bleeding. Elise cries out, and Rean goes into ogre form, knocking down all the Jaegers in quick fashion. However, Elise pleads with Rean to stop before a repeat of "8 years ago" happens, and he calms down as Toval & Alfin report that the Schwarzer parents appear alive. Vita appears and regrets the lack of patience Lord Albarea is showing in his attempts to get ahead of Duke Cayenne. She hypnotizes the dazed Jaegers with a witch spell and commands them to report back to Lord Albarea that they found nothing. The group calmly begins to ask Vita questions, but Celine is not fooled and tells them that Vita has something planned. With the group's guard down, a girl clad in a black robe appears sitting atop the arm of a black Airgetlam-like construct, and abducts Elise & Alfin. Her feint revealed, Vita laughs and vaguely remarks that the girl isn't an enforcer but another ally donated by someone to the noble cause. As the girls are flown away, Rean swears he'll find them.
