Description:

Litvinenko suddenly fell ill on 1 November 2006 after being poisoned with radioactive polonium that had been put in his tea at a hotel.

While in hospital, Bell’s liaison Jennifer Morgan arranged for a the photographer Natasja Weitsz to take the iconic photograph of Litvinenko on his deathbed.
