Description:
On September 17, 1849, Harriet Tubman escaped from the enslaved plantation with her brothers Ben and Henry. However, the brothers changed their minds and went back, forcing Harriet to return with them.
Soon later, Harriet escaped once again, but this time alone. With the help of the Underground Railroad, Tubman walked about 145 km (90 miles) from Maryland to Pennsylvania.
