jul 27, 1794 - Maximilien Robespierre execution

Description:

Maximilien Robespierre and his allies are arrested by the National Assembly. He was able to escape, but when he heard that he had been named an outlaw, he tried to shoot himself in the head, only managing to injure his jaw. Not long after, soldiers from the National Convention captured him again, and he was guillotined the next evening without a trial.
