Description:
The largest missile ever deployed by the United States, the Titan II was a very large player during the Gemini program during the mid 1960's.
The rocket was 102 feet tall, 10 feet in diameter, and weighed 149,700 kg ( 330,000 pounds). It was one of the few missiles that were designed to be launched from the bottom of an underground silo, and could be readied for launch extremely quickly. Only taking about 60 seconds before launch to be readied.
