The Saturn 1 was the first of the Saturn series, and paved the way to all other versions of the Saturn, as well as the renowned Saturn V, which is still used even today. The focus of the Saturn was to create a rocket that had much larger booster capabilities and could hold a much larger payload.The Saturn 1 is the smallest of its series, and only has 2 stages. It weighed 1,124,000 pounds, was 180 feet tall, and had a diameter of 21 feet and 8 inches.
